Getting to/from School

Your child’s safety as they travel to and from school is important to us. Whether your student walks, gets a ride from you or someone else, or rides the bus, we’ll help make sure they get to and from school as smoothly as possible. 

Call the front office at 815-754-2241 if you have any questions, or if you’re running late or have an emergency that affects your child’s transportation.

Walking 

Students who walk to school can arrive at 7:15 a.m. They can enter door 32 and door 11. After school, they exit from doors 32, 33 and 11. Parents/families can meet their children at door 11. 

Getting a Ride 

Parents/families can drop students off at door 11 in the back of the school beginning at 7:15 a.m. After school, they can pick students up at door 11 at 2:30 p.m.

Riding the Bus

Bus transportation is provided by First Student for all students who live 1.5 miles or more from the school. Students may only ride their assigned bus. 

Bus route information is provided at the beginning of the school year. Families that have bus transportation are notified by postcard one to two weeks before the first day of school. If a student starts after the first day of school, First Student contacts the family by email.

To find your student’s bus stop and time, check Skyward under “Bus Stop.” Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation if a student misses the bus. 

Pick-up During School Hours

If you need to pick up your student during school hours, you must come to the front office and sign them out from door 1. Do not park in the fire lane when picking up your student during school hours.
