Support Services 

There are services available within the school and community to meet the needs of your student and family. 

At Huntley Middle School (HMS), we strive to improve the health and well-being of our students in many ways, including by providing:

• Health services from school nurses
• Mental health support from school psychologists
• Free or reduced school meals for qualifying families
• Student services for a variety of needs

The school district also provides an overview of crisis resources for parents/families. 

Students can fill out a student incident report form to report unkind behavior or bullying. They can also contact Safe2Help or see their school counselor if they need help.

Internet Access Assistance

We understand that some families have no or limited internet access. Here are some resources that can help:

• Verizon hotspots are available to some HMS students. To request a hotspot, email [email protected]. Students who receive free or reduced lunch will be considered first. 
• Everyoneon.org is a resource that can help you find low-cost internet and/or computers in your area. 
• Xfinity Internet Essentials provides low-cost internet access to those who qualify. Or, learn about using Xfinity wi-fi hotspots for free. 

Community Resources

• Barb Food Mart: provides free food to families in the DeKalb school district
• Family Service Agency: provides counseling and programs to people and families 
• Hope Haven: provides housing and meals to those in need
